herbs, spices and teas all fit into the rainbow spectrum described by the Angels. in order to determine where the plant or substance fits into your chart, just look first of all at its color.
anything that grows is by default green, so if you can't figure it out, assume its a green food. but, for example, orange nasturtiums and yellow dandelion flowers fit into the orange and yellow categories fairly obviously. lavendar is purple - so lavendar goes in the blue/purple/black category. black pepper counts as black. cinnamon's another orange and cayenne pepper is red.
however, you might also consider the part of the plant you're using: herbs or spices that are essentially roots - for example burdock or dandelion root - benefit the root chakra, even though technically they're brown.
some of these will fit into different categories for different people. there are no "right" or "wrong" answers... there's only what feels right for YOU.
